Because I'm still on my quest to catch up with One Piece (I'm so close!)... it's movie meme time again...
In 2006 I will watch 100 movies and post my thoughts about them here on LJ.
Movie #3 -- One Piece: The Movie
This movie was kinda weird to watch. Not because it was bad, but because it was set very early in the story line. (It's so odd to see something One Piece now and not hear Sanji fanboying over Nami.) The movie was pretty good though. The story was a bit "ehhh..." but hey... it was only 50 minutes long. It did make me crack up laughing so it gets a thumbs up from me. (I also liked that they threw in a couple of nods to the early episodes. Like Usopp popping out of barrel like Luffy did back in episode one and then Luffy picking up the stepped up food and eating it like Zoro did back in his first episode.)
But poor Zoro... he's totally abused in the first half! First he's starving. Then he finally finds food and Luffy eats it all. Then he gets chained to Luffy and drug around an island only to be knocked in the head by an anchor. Poor Zoro. :(
I'll fangirl over Bleach 215 later... I've got NASCAR to watch. :P
