ISSHIN IS A SHINIGAMI!!!!!!!!!!!
How many times have I mentioned Isshin knowing what was going on? Quite a few. I thought I was just bullshitting. But he's a Shinigami. *dead*
He's a Shinigami.
He knows that Ichigo is a Shinigami.
He knows that Kon isn't Ichigo.
He can see Hollows.
He probably knew Rukia was there the entire time.
I wonder why he's in the human world though... Will it be a romantic story like where he saw Masaki and fell in love with her and left Soul Society to be with her.
Hmmmmmmm..... I wonder where his gigai came from.... *points at Urahara* Ah ha!
It's also no big surprise that Ichigo didn't notice... despite the fact that Urahara had a damn zanpaktou and used it against him he had to be told by Yoruichi that Urahara used to be a Shinigami.
Ichigo = Moron
But how can Isshin have kids? Is he a noble? Is he a Shiba? He does look a lot like Ganjyu and we can't forget the Kaien/Ichigo thing. Are those kids his kids?
I need to know more!

EDIT:
This is Isshin in his Shinigami uniform. He appears to be a captain of some kind. The tattered cloth reminds me of Kenpachi's coat. Plus there is the band on his arm (that looks like a Naruto headband.) Prehaps he is like a special divison captain.

(Shinigami Isshin looks a hell of a lot like the random Shinigami the anime added during the first Grand Fisher arc.)
EDIT AGAIN:
Things I should have noticed before...
-- Isshin was (barely) on the cover of 182 (that was the suit cover right?) even though he hadn't appeared in over one hundred chapters.
-- Probably not that special but still noticeable... only four characters have been shown smoking. Shuuhei and Renji on chapter covers. Kuukaku smoked a pipe. Isshin smokes at Masaki's grave. Three of which are Shinigami. Kuukaku is a noble and was related to a Shinigami.
-- Before Ichigo left on his "trip" Isshin told Ichigo that if he meets any cute girls he has to introduce him to them.
-- He also told Ichigo that he wouldn't let anything happen to his family while he was gone in a serious way.

And just as a tease, you'll either hate or love what's gonna happen in Episode 12 (I thought it was happen this week but I was mistaken) and REALLY hate what'll happen soon if the anime follows the manga to a T.

(You know how they show on little scene while the ending is still playing. >_> I can't decide if I'm gonna love it or hate it till I actually see what goes on... but right now I kinda dislike it.
