Today has not been a good day.

It started out well. I woke up and TCM was doing a Cary Grant marathon. I watched My Favorite Wife and The Awful Truth. Then my aunt decided to mow and asked me to let one of the dogs out. Our other dog takes off in the woods when you let her out of the yard, so I was holding her while I opened the fence (like I always freaking do) and she slammed into the fence which shoved it back over my big toe and ripped the nail up.

It is bad. (Feels bad anyway.) It finally stopped hurting a while ago and now I've just got to not hit it on anything (which is like trying to tell water to stop being wet.)

School is back on Wednesday. I'm looking forward to it. I really hope to be caught up on True Blood by then. I only have a handful of episodes left.

Bah... this entry feels short.

My fucking sound card on my fucking piece of shit computer is fucking dead.

Perfect. Fucking perfect.

I knew I should have bought a new fucking computer when I had the fucking money, but oh no... let's waste a ton of fucking money on NOTHING instead.

Fucking bullshit.

And now I can't get my computer to do anything. Brilliant.

When I get my fucking student money in fucking October... I'm spending it on a new computer. I don't fucking care about anything else. I'm getting a new fucking computer like I said I wanted last fucking year.

Not only is Project Runway finally coming back on August 1st... but Tim Gunn is going to be in a comic book. And it will be awesome.
"But what would the angels be without someone to guide them? Enter Tim Gunn of “Project Runway.” In the debut issue’s second story, Mr. Gunn becomes an action figure — jumping into Iron Man’s suit of armor to save a fashion exhibition from evildoers."

Iron Gunn? Greatest thing ever? Y/Y?

I spent part of last night and today watching So NoTORIous. I was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. I mostly came for Sylar as the GBFF, but I'll be damned if I didn't get a kick out of something in every episodes. VH1 needs to cancel some Flava/Rock of STDs and bring this shit back. I don't care if Tori Spelling is married with children now.

Also grr what the hell Amano? I don't want to go back to watching the fairly crap Reborn! anime for the Arcobaleno stuff. That should be in the manga, but we're too busy playing King of All Cosmos and junk. >=(

Ten days till The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien and I'm so crazy ready. I've missed that man so much.

WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME, ROBERT DOWNEY, JR.? WHY? I ONLY WANT TO LOVE YOU. D=

I WATCHED BOWFINGER FOR YOU!

I EVEN WATCHED FUR FOR YOU!

BUT YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR THIS TIME!

Link

Oh who am I kidding? I'll still end up watching you... but I won't enjoy it!

Though I wasn't too gung-ho on Jude Law as Watson before (mostly because I'm not too gung-ho on Jude Law period), but for some reason I kinda liked the bitchy scene... *feels weird*

So it's been a while since I did a proper update so I'm gonna try and hit the high points...

School: Finally started using MediSoft in Medical Office Procedures. It's not as bad as I was expecting, but I still haven't hit the simulations yet so that could change. Competency testing for us is this coming Wednesday. Class trip to the OKC Omniplex/science museum is on April 28th. I also finally enrolled for next year and hopefully I'll get to be a full time student this time.

Movies: Finally saw Twilight... Peter Facinelli as a blonde is just so wrong. I find it kind of funny that I saw two movies in less than a week where the best part involved a Muse song. Also I will not lie... I saw The Day the Earth Stood Still for Jon Hamm and Jon Hamm only. I honestly couldn't tell you much that happened when he was on screen. The scruff was super hot.

Books: I bought the next three Sookie Stackhouse books (Living Dead in Dallas, Club Dead, and Dead to the World). I'm almost finished with the second Night Angel book. So good. I love a series where I can actually end up liking characters I once despised. Vi has gone from "snoozefest" to "how wonderfully bitchy". Also I must stop myself from shipping Kylar and Vi since I know he won't end up with her. I also bought Confessions of a Shopaholic couple of weeks ago.

Television: Stupid Kal Penn liking stupid politics. This season of House has been so... all over the place. There's only a handful of episodes left and while I'm really not looking forward to yet another "omg Cameron is like totally in love with House!" thing or a "House could have been super happy with [insert female character here], but he pushed her away because he's a miserable wreck" thing we all know he can only be happy with Wilson, I am interested in seeing what they do for the finale. (Hopefully there will be Wilson goodness.)

I also gutted and restuffed my section of our Netflix with all the TV I've been putting off watching. I'm working through Jeeves and Wooster right now (I finished season one. I'm once again totally smitten with both Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry.) and then it's on to Mad Men and Supernatural.

Video Games Persona: I'm in October with Persona 3. It is such fucking bullshit that you only get the best character for a month. I'll miss his badassness and the completely awesome way he used his Evoker. I still don't know how I'm going to manage The Answer side of P3 since it's equivalent to the hard version of The Journey. I expected epic fail from me though.

Manga: I'm still not caught up on Fullmetal Alchemist or One Piece. I am caught up on Reborn! though and I must say I'm glad the girls are getting their say. Though Haru is still a million times better than Kyoko. I'm also current with xxxHOLiC (I only care again because Doumeki and Watanuki are staying with each other now) and Tsubasa (What the fuck has happened to this series? Just tell me if Kurogane and Fai go off to be gay ever after so I can stop caring about this headache inducing clusterfuck.)

I finally got 100% with LEGO Batman! I enjoy that Ra's has Nightwing's move set and Hush has Two-Face's.

In other news... Fuck you, Fox. Fuck you where the sun doesn't shine. Thank you for killing any interest I had in the Wolverine movie by completely and totally butchering Deadpool. Really. Thanks. You make Wade not happy. >=( (See these three links: 1 2 3. Last one contains spoilers for said movie.)

RE: Question of the Day

Twilight = NO Please stop talking about this overhyped crap. (I'm talking to you, Entertainment Weekly. Seriously... stop sucking off Twilight, EW.)

Whoo for Thanksgiving break! Today was the last day of school for the month. I'm glad. We've been doing telephone etiquette training for the last two weeks and we've had the county high school touring and the students participating in the phone practice. Talk about stressful for me. I passed my phone certification though and I totally aced all three in class tests on it. Whoo for me!

I feel like the ice is finally broken in class. I feel more comfortable talking to my classmates now. I was nominated for replacement parliamentarian for our BPA, but I lost (which was good cause I didn't want it anyway.) I'm trucking right along in my work. I've got four certifications done in two months so I'm feeling pretty good. I'm working on office procedures at the moment.

Went and bought Wall-E and Tropic Thunder yesterday. (Oh! I also got my financial aid check yesterday so whoo!) I haven't watched Wall-E yet, but Tropic Thunder was awesome. Best fucking Tom Cruise movie ever. Robert Downey, Jr. was completely awesome. (Loved the fake trailer for Satan's Alley. Wonder Boys will forever make me laugh now that RDJ and Tobey MaGuire are Tony Stark and Peter Parker. Also note to self: Get RDJ icons.)

I also saw Kung-Fu Panda last weekend. I was surprisingly shocked by it. Dreamworks did an awesome job with it. The action scenes were great. They're really stepping up their game. I just wish they didn't want to make a sequel to every single one of their animated films (though I do want to see Madagascar 2.) Also Monsters vs. Aliens looks fun. (Can it plz be 2009 so I can do the 100 movie thingy?)

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and we're having a housewarming party on Sunday. Plus I'm going to my aunt's company Christmas party next month. So much going on. Though it's a vast improvement over how much was going on last year.

Anyway... food time... then adorable robot movie time.

P.S. Satellite Internet fucking sucks.

I need to rant about this... I've been ticked off about this since about 9 this morning and I thought I could get over it... but I need to rant. Sorry if you don't care.

Eyeshield 21 dub rant... and I liked the voice acting! )

While randomly surfing on YouTube I came across a clip from the One Piece dub of Zoro with Sanji's lollipop. They actually went in and edited Zoro's little cotton ball cleany thing he does with his swords (I'm sure if has a name) to look like Sanji's "lollipop". And in script is Zoro saying the line "I want to know what Sanji is always slurping on." I can't decide if I should laugh at that line or groan over them making Zoro mistreat his babies. =(

I think that the current Bleach episodes (on both sides of the Pacific) are gonna be what has me totally separating myself from the fandom. (I'm already partly detached.) I don't want to listen to even more whining about fillers. I don't want to hear them whining about a dub that is actually pretty damn good. (And if it were actually possible... I would ram the One Piece dub down the throat of every singly person who complains about how Bleach or Naruto has been ruined by their dubs.)

Also... WATCH MAJOR! It will make you laugh and it will make you cry (I don't even want to go into the number of times I cried during the first season.) Even though it is a series about baseball, it is so much more than that. Such a wonderful focus on the characters rather than the game. I'm currently watching the second season and I absolutely adore it. Goro is adorable (and a bit assy at times... but his adorableness balances it out... so it's okay. =P) This is such an underloved series!

While waiting for FMA chapter 61's raw to show up... I actually caught up with the Naruto manga! :O This is the first I've ever been caught up. It feels... odd.

I've got the overwhelming need to bitch about Bleach, but I won't... (God... the ending of chapter 234 sucked. Pisses me off so much. "These guys are like uber strong. We're totally screwed... now watch us own them with ice while everyone else works their asses off." They should just stop now if it's that easy to beat them. >_>) ...at least not as much as I want to.

I also caught up on the two chapters of One Piece I was behind on. Finally we get to the fight I've been waiting for! (And Zoro ♥♥) Whoo! (Surprised to find that my level of Spandam hate has reach maximum. I just can't hate the bastard any more than I already do.)

Now I'm gonna go post the next part of Tokyo Crazy Paradise at [livejournal.com profile] shoujo_daily, then watch Honey & Clover II episode 2. Food first... HachiKuro later.

Yay! It's raining here! That's the only good thing that's happened all day!

Today has been so shitty. I woke up feeling bad. Then my smallest cat got into something and got it's fur all nasty and started screaming so freaking loud. I thought he was hurt so I grabbed him up and started looking... nothing. He was just dirty. So I had to give him a bath to get all the stuff out of his fur. Then about ten minutes ago I totally ruin dinner. We have an older stove that has a top oven and a bottom oven... we usually use the top oven to cook stuff since the window on the front is bigger and it's easier to check on stuff. So today we made a pizza and I'm trying to check to see if the crust is done and I pull the oven rack out a bit and about the time I reach over to grab a spatula so I can lift the pizza a bit I step on my cat (who insists of being right freaking there by the stove) and almost fall on my ass. I managed to catch myself before I fell, but the fucking pizza slid off the oven rack and into the floor.

Just fucking shoot me now.

-----

And I'm rewatching Honey & Clover and I don't feel the same... anger/dislike/whatever it was toward Mayama this time around. Maybe it's because I'm not so distracted by Morita's zaniness this time around and I'm focusing on it a little better or maybe it's because I haven't gotten to the part where I really started to dislike him or maybe it's because I know what's gonna happen... but I'm liking Mayama much more than before. (It's more love/like instead of love/hate.)

3 and a half foot Zangetsu. [It really does look like a giant knife. XD)

I posted the first part of the first part of the first volume of Tokyo Crazy Paradise at [livejournal.com profile] shoujo_daily yesterday. [All of you should join and read it.] Next part will be once I figure our which part I wanna end on.

Dammit... I went outside a bit ago to help unload groceries and now my eyes won't stop watering. Damn allergies. >:( I freaking hate them and this season is supposed to be one of the worst allergy seasons in a while. Dammit...

Oh! I watched this week's (5/3 I believe it was) episode of LOST last night... HAHAHA! I laughed for a good ten minutes after it was over.

And thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday. :)

When you present something as fact (like for example: "Bleach will be dubbed by Ocean Studios") and someone asks you for proof don't say "I read it on Wikipedia." Wiki =/= official.

Why was the first episode of Gintama so disappointing? Way to fuck stuff up Sunrise. Whoever said "let's start in the middle of the story and then go back to the beginning!" needs to be fired. I do like the opening song though. I think that I'm just gonna think of next week as the beginning. :(

At least the ShuuRan goodness lived on in episodes 75-76 )

I fucking hate my fucking shitty ass bank. I know that my debit card has no transactions on it... I CAN'T ACTIVATE MY FUCKING CARD! How many fucking times do I have tell you that? I want the fucking service that I fucking pay for to fucking work. I'm so sick of this fucking shit. If I had the money I would switch banks.

DAMMIT!!!!!!

*sigh*

So I was watching the local news this morning (that comes out of Louisiana) and they mentioned Oklahoma (which always catches my attention since they sometimes talk about stuff that happen in our area.) Anyway... the story was about lunches in the public school system in Wilburton, Oklahoma, if the kids in the school system in Wilburton are 10 dollars or more behind on their lunch bill they get sent to the back of the lunch line and when they're finally able to get food guess what they get? Peanut butter and fucking crackers.

What the hell is that? The school I went to wouldn't let you pass on to the next grade if you didn't pay your lunch bill, but they never fed us peanut butter and crackers. That's just freaking ridiculous. I'd be damned if I let my school feed my peanut butter and crackers for lunch. And it's not like they won't get their asses turned in to the state school board. A nutritional lunch is part of the school package. Morons.

[Also... I'm watching the Grammys and Kayne West just won an award... he's wearing a red shirt, a white suit, and black gloves... is it bad that the first thing I thought was "He's totally ripping off Ichigo?"]
queendork56: (Default)
I'll be really glad when FMA finishes it's run on [as]. I really hate this stretch of episodes. Just about the time Roy starts acting like a normal person instead of a smug ass, Edward starts acting like an ass. Plus it doesn't help my enjoyment factor when I know what sheer nastiness is to come.

Ugh... how much longer till the next manga chapter?

It rained pretty much all day. That didn't help my mood much. I woke up with a leg cramp. I need to eat more bananas. :(
