So I signed up to do work-study at school. Basically it means I drop back to half-time in class and spend the other three hours working at the school. I'll mainly be doing teacher help, but there are times when I might be put in the office to help out. I won't start till sometime after the board meeting on the 8th though.

Class is going good. I've finished two chapters and did a two day medical office simulation and I'm currently in the middle of my first bit of transcription. Both morning and afternoon classes have filled up, but so far everyone seems really eager to do stuff. I've already had one new girl say she's interested in competing at state.

We also had elections for our BPA chapter. Since our class is technically two classes (morning and afternoon) we do two sets of officers. I was elected President for the afternoon class (since I'll be working in the mornings.) I'm really excited about it. I've never held an office in anything before so it's slightly nerve-wracking. Thankfully our teacher is awesome and I'm also good friends with the morning president (in fact we sit right next to each other.)

I gave blood on Thursday. This was the first time I've done it since high school. I got a t-shirt and tickets to the OKC zoo which I gave to a lady in class who has little ones at home.

In other news... Saw the season finale of Being Human last night. I really like how the series turned out overall. I think it's my new favorite vampire/fantasy TV series. George is easily my new favorite werewolf.

Still counting down the days till The Resistance comes out and I'm still on Muse overload. I do enjoy the Matt wallpaper on my computer at school though. It's very spiffy. Speaking of spiffy things... even if you don't like Muse you have to admit the shuffle dance is quite spiffy. Just look at that timing.

Oh and I finally broke 100 wpm typing speed~.

Not only is Project Runway finally coming back on August 1st... but Tim Gunn is going to be in a comic book. And it will be awesome.
"But what would the angels be without someone to guide them? Enter Tim Gunn of “Project Runway.” In the debut issue’s second story, Mr. Gunn becomes an action figure — jumping into Iron Man’s suit of armor to save a fashion exhibition from evildoers."

Iron Gunn? Greatest thing ever? Y/Y?

I spent part of last night and today watching So NoTORIous. I was not expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. I mostly came for Sylar as the GBFF, but I'll be damned if I didn't get a kick out of something in every episodes. VH1 needs to cancel some Flava/Rock of STDs and bring this shit back. I don't care if Tori Spelling is married with children now.

Also grr what the hell Amano? I don't want to go back to watching the fairly crap Reborn! anime for the Arcobaleno stuff. That should be in the manga, but we're too busy playing King of All Cosmos and junk. >=(

Ten days till The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien and I'm so crazy ready. I've missed that man so much.

WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME, ROBERT DOWNEY, JR.? WHY? I ONLY WANT TO LOVE YOU. D=

Oh who am I kidding? I'll still end up watching you... but I won't enjoy it!

Though I wasn't too gung-ho on Jude Law as Watson before (mostly because I'm not too gung-ho on Jude Law period), but for some reason I kinda liked the bitchy scene... *feels weird*

Trip recap!

Surprisingly only about 10 of us went when about 20 of us had said we were going. (Though honestly I'm glad some of them didn't go. >_>) We left out about 8:30 and got there at about 10. We did a quick tour of Paris Junior College and then went and did some shopping. I was broke so I just browsed around Hastings for like an hour and a half. I almost broke and bought a Sookie Stackhouse book, but alas I held out. At noon we went for lunch... it was nothing to write home about. Their cheesecake was good though. Then we hit a couple more stores and came home.

I'm kind of disappointed that the movie theater down there wouldn't work with us, but I had fun anyway. I managed to hit my head twice on the padded bar thing above the door of the bus (once getting on and once getting off) and I hit my shin on the bar under my seat three times. I've got a nice bruise forming.

Four more days and then I'm out for summer... really kinda looking forward to it.

Also My Life is Average is amazing.

OMG EDIT: HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] spookyboxers

Jerry Bruckheimer better be really, really thankful that Jake Gyllenhaal has amazing abs.

Like really, really, really thankful... he should probably send them a thank you note.

I CAUGHT UP ON SHORTPACKED!

I totally wasn't expecting to care about anything other than the comic parodies (I'm Batman.) but dammit if I don't love Ethan and Mike and everyone... even Faz. Oh Mike... why can't you just admit you're gay for Ethan?

Go read it... please? Especially if you like comic book/old school cartoon nerdiness. Plus it has a talking car that loves Short Circuit. How can you not enjoy that?

SHORTPACKED!

Now let's see how often I remember it's there...

[Error: unknown template qotd]I got spontaneously hugged once, but I've never started it. I'm too afraid of being punched.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I teared up during Obama's speech yesterday. It's kind of nice to have a president I actually want to listen to when he speaks for a change.

And Now for some links of stuff I've enjoyed lately...

Clearly we learned nothing from the Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game (you know the one that was kinda Mortal Kombat-ish in terms of graphics and made you want to cry?) since we now have Dragonball: The Movie: The Game! Just what I always wanted!

PV for Gackt's new single, GHOST - I don't even know where to start... I do enjoy the song though. The b-side of the single was pretty good too.

This House parody made me smile.

Also I've been thinking about signing up for Twitter, but I'm not sure I want to...
