Jeebus... I am dead.

But I have to rant! Ranting is what keeps me going! I finally saw the end of FMA so now I can rant.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! <--- crazy laughter

K... first of all... You burn in hell BONES for ruining Roy's face! You go and you die!!

Now that that is out of the way...

OMG! WHAT THE FUCK?

I hate, no... hate isn't a strong enough word, that Tucker lived in the anime. What the fuck is that? He should have burned in hell like he did the manga. (Only character in the manga to go to Hell!)

I still don't like angsty!Scar and Lust's death in the anime was just pathetic. I actually felt bad for her in the anime because she died at the hands of the single most annoying character in the anime: Wrath. I so wanted him to die. Thank Jeebus that manga!Wrath will die. (Shush... you know he will.)

I didn't really like any of the Sins in the anime. They were all sorta on the weak side. Their deaths were pretty lame too. Arakawa is handling that much, much better. (I can't wait to see Envy get frozen. I hope something big falls on him and breaks him into a million pieces.)

I think the biggest letdown of the anime was that it took nearly 50 episodes for Roy to get off the freaking high horse the anime put him on and do something. That just annoys the hell out of me. The anime just maimed his character. (I did like him in the Havoc wig though.)

And speaking of Havoc... they just had to put him in the hospital for a bit though. Although... he just got his hand injured... yet they put him in the hospital? o_O It pisses me off that he barely did anything.

The anime didn't make good use of the military. At least they gave Roy his sigal of blood and his line about "killing you until you die."

I didn't like that Bradley killed his son either. That was just a bit too much for me.

The series itself wasn't bad. It's just another Hellsing. When I first saw the Hellsing anime I thought it was pretty good. Then I read the manga and saw just how truly great the mangaka did with the story and I all I could think was "why wasn't the anime this good?" FMA, sadly, falls in the same place. I do not like most of the changes that were made in the story and in characters. *cough*Roy*cough*Scar*cough*

The anime alone is actually pretty good. It did keep my anxious about the ending and all but the ending was a bit rushed and it didn't make use of the side characters as well as it could have. The anime also made a couple of things more obvious, such as Bradley's nature. In the manga he's shown as a good nature guy who sneaks out of work and brings fruit baskets to his injured men and climbs out windows. (He also wears Hawaiian shirts.) In the anime he always came off as a bit shady.

Then there's the opposite where a character who was never really shown as an opponent to Ed suddenly becomes a shady person. In the manga Roy was never really against Ed or tried to manipulate his actions. Roy enters the story a nice guy and stays that way until certain events happen. Only then does he become something of an opponent to Ed. This only last for a short time though. I also didn't like that he was so cold to Sciezka.

All in all the anime was good, but just nowhere near the manga. I think that my indifference to the anime comes down to:
A.) No Xingers.
B.) Not enough action with Mustang and company.
C.) Barry the Chopper was horribly annoying and never got to meet his true love.
D.) Lame Sin deaths. (Poor Lust...)
E.) The anime only characters were a bit bland and most of them had really generic character designs. (Gran and Armstrong looked way too similar as far as build went. Archer and Kimblee looked too much alike as well.)
F.) The maiming of Roy Mustang's character. He went from asshole, to manic asshole (really... episode 13 just made him look insane), back to asshole, then to more of an asshole, then to a pretty nice guy, then into a hero.

Reasons I did like the anime:
A.) Woot for Brosh/Ross! Haha... she didn't have to leave in the anime so they to add in hints.
B.) Woot for more Martel! She was the only character I really liked from the Greed arc in the manga and I was always a little sad that her part in the story ended so soon. (Although he death had a bigger impact in the manga.)
C.) Woot for Havoc! Havoc love is a beautiful thing. He was able to walk out of the anime!
D.) Roy!Havoc and Havoc!Roy = me dead
E.) Ed dressed up as Alucard in black and standing on platforms like the little girl in Problem Child 2.
F.) Woot for Royai! Hair touching = me all teh happy.

I don't really have any opinions on the ending... Hoho is kinda lame in the anime and Edward got shoved to the side in my thoughts quickly by the military guys so I was all "meh... don't really care about that." Glad Alphonse got his body though.

It's funny how everyone will say that manga is better than the anime version. I think I have to agree. I am now reading the Saiyuki manga and there is so much left out, it boggles my mind why they would do such a thing.

I haven't read FMA manga or even finished the series, but I'm pretty sure I could agree with you otherwise. ;)
