We start the episode off with running! Heart attacks for everyone!

They ran all that way just to stop and stare.

Byakuya is starting to feel a bit freaked out again.

Ichigo wants you to go away now.

Random question: If Ichigo has Zangetsu's coat when he goes ban kai... what is Zangetsu wearing in Ichigo's soul world? Is he just sitting around naked? Is that why Ichigo wanted to come back so soon?

Ichigo broke it.

But anyway... let's finish this fight.

Byakuya is so smexy like this... What's with the 6th Division guys looking all good when they're beaten, bloody, and got their hair down?

Time for one last face-off.

Byakuya powers up.

And power up he does...

So pretty.....

I love how the main character hero can always be "wow!" or "cool!" or "amazing!" with their enemies when they pull out something they want to kill them with.

One last showdown!

Black vs. White

They clash!

Who won?

Byakuya is still standing...

Ichigo is still standing...

Someone did win right?

Oh will one of you just give up already!

Ichigo's bleeding.

Poor Ichigo.

He stabbed his shadow.

Awww.... poor Ichigo.

Oh wait! Byakuya's bleeding too!

Byakuya stumbles away.

And gives us the lowdown on what happened during the clash.

Ichigo rips right through it.

Which means that Ichigo wins. (Byakuya's hair looks really long here.)

Wait... I won?

I love how he sorta hobbles around.

Despite the fact that there isn't any wind... his hair still looks like that.

Your hair is really weird man. What kind of shampoo do you use?

If I told you, I'd have to kill you.

Byakuya tells his reasons for not saving Rukia. (We all know it was because she wouldn't stop using his shampoo.)

Ichigo goes through a few emotions...

Ichigo doesn't understand.

First there was this big guy that tired to attack me, but Ishida was all cool and saved me.

And then there was this scary clown who tried to kill us, but Ishida told this guy to take me and run away.

And he took me to Kenpachi. (His hair is pretty!)

And then there were all these stairs! I thought we were all gonna die of heart attacks, but the magic of TV saved us!

And you thought your trip was weird...

Orihime confesses to her worry over Ichigo.

Now I know Ichigo is a bit dense, but if he doesn't get Orihime's feelings by now...

Orihime apologizes. (Although shouldn't we have started the healing process by now... I mean Ichigo is bleeding all over the place.)

Meanwhile... the great boy genius is still trying to figure out how to get inside.

Wow. I'm sorry, but Byakuya has the gayest zanpaku in all of Soul Society. Far gayer than Yumichika's. I don't think Byakuya's could be any gayer if he tapdanced in a leotard while releasing it. Although it'd definately be funnier (and possibly sexier, although it's hard to imagine Byakuya any sexier than he is already).

And may I be permitted a 30 second rant? If the stupid anime PTB hadn't written out Orihime's crush on Ichigo from the beginning of the series it'd make so much more sense now and even Ichigo would understand why Orihime was giving him a concussion. Damn them and their writing out her crush in an effort to pair off characters like it was Noah's Ark.

Was that my 30 seconds? Damn.

There needs to be more Ishida screencaps. Those are the only things that keep me sane.

I'm a rabid IshiHime shipper and I'm still furious about the anime writing out Hime's crush on Ichigo! >.< If the DB is right, that scene is just ruined. There's a pronoun change in Ishida's mind: "We" not "She is praying for your safety." There's no emphasis on the crush at all, which only takes out the drama and grandeur of Ishida's selflessness when he says of his rival "Win Kurosaki or I will never forgive you!"

GAH! I know some anime-only people who are "hey, does Orihime like Ichigo or something?"

You know how much I love Ishida, even if I'm not a big IshiHime fan (I'm still in denial about their existance), but the one scene where even I will admit there was some IshiHime undertones and they took it out? What is wrong with them?!

First they take out Orihime's crush on Ichigo. Then they add IshiHime angst where there was none (I always felt the manga scene on the roof was pureply platonic), and after all that they take the one scene that was a bit IshiHime and they edit it out? What kind if game are they playing here?!

Well, I don't think it's really a case of good vs. bad. It's more of a case of law vs. emotions. Byakuya isn't really a bad person as such, he just wants to uphold the law. In the same way, Ichigo isn't really the good guy here, he merely wants to save Rukia.

Plus there is more to black and white then good and bad. White represents purity and nobility, for example.
