Ikkaku/Yumichika = TEH LOVE!!!!!

They can no longer be ignored! Ikkaku half-crawled/half-dragged himself back to Yumichika. And the look on Yumichika's face... if he'd had been a woman he'd be crying.

Would Yumichika look that relieved to see Shuuhei?
Would Ikkaku drag himself back to whoever the rest of the Bleach fandom has shipped him with?

I wanna know how they met. How the hell did Ikkaku and Yumichika end up being friends in the first place? I must know! *shakes Kubo*

I wonder what kind of drama we'll get when Ikkaku learns Yumichika's secret. I have a feeling it will involve Yumi's energy sucking backfiring on him when he tries it on an Arrancar.

Ikkaku and Yumichika are just so the love and I usually stay away from slash pairings. The only slash couples I active ship are from the CLAMP universe and that's just Kurogane/Fai from Tsubasa (which totally rock the Ikkaku/Yumichika vibes in that Kurogane is grumpy and wants to fight and Fai is damn near a woman) and Touya/Yukito from Card Captor Sakura and Tsubasa.

I don't get why Yumi didn't tell Ikkaku about fujikujaku. It really makes less and less sense to me in light of the past chapters.

As for the rest, 203 really put a knot in my throat and I'm really not that kind of person. Yumi's expression combined with his words... it reminded me of Orihime outside those dried trees during the Ichigo-Byakuya fight. She wanted to go but couldn't. I half expected Yumi to start hugging himself (though of course, that just wouldn't be him). Though I suppose mentally he did hug himself. So sweet.
I want to know more about the guy. I hope Kubo pays him more attention soon. I love Ikkaku, but even with his hidden bankai he's not that interesting.

Yumichika thinks that if he tells Ikkaku about Fujikujaku that he'll look down on him. I mean just look at what Ikkaku said to Iba during their fight. I imagine that Yumichika heard quite a bit of that when Iba transferred out or even when they were in the academy together. Although I think that neither Ikkaku and Kenpachi will really care. I mean Kenpachi is strong without knowing his sword's name and he doesn't look down on Ikkaku and Yumichika because they do. I think it's just something in Yumichika's mind that makes him think they'll shun him for it. That's why I really want to know their past together. Just looking at Yumchika on the surface he doesn't seem like the "I wanna fight, fight, and fight some more" type of guy.

I think Ikkaku is interesting. Not like "surrounded in mystery" interesting like Urahara or Mayuri or "wait... why the hell does he act like that?" interesting like Isshin or Gin. His character is pretty cut and dry, but it's his behavior and luck dance and stuff like that and I wanna know who does his makeup! ^_^

I think it's just something in Yumichika's mind that makes him think they'll shun him for it.

It's Yumichika doing the whole "do as the Romans do" thing. He's surrounded by these men (Women? BTW, where are the women in the 11th Divison?) who are all "Fight! Fight! Fight! And only physically cause kidou is for dorks!" He doesn't want to stick out like a sore thumb. I would actually like to see this come back to bite him in the ass sooner or later, but that won't happen.

I wanna know who does his makeup!

Yumichika does of course! I mean, he can't have his woman man looking like who did it and ran.

During that whole fight scene with Ikkaku and Kenpachi, all I could think about was "Geez, Yumi's hair is uneven. He needs a trim." XD

I would actually like to see this come back to bite him in the ass sooner or later, but that won't happen.

I don't know if that's gonna bit him in the ass, but I do think that Fujikujaku's special ability is gonna end up hurting him. I have a feeling that if he does try to use it against the Arrancar that it'll hurt him. That'll probably be where Ikkaku finds out (and hopefully where we get Yumi!flashback!)

I keep hearing this but I don't see how. If Fujikujaku's special power is to suck his opponent's spiritual power well dry, I don't see how this can be a bad thing when fighting the Arrancar (unless it'll be too much like a spirtual power overdose.)

Maybe I'm missing something...

Well the Hollows are a "negative" energy. It could affect him somehow and it could be a power overload, but then again I'm sure that Yumichika has never tried Fujikujaku on a Hollow so we don't really know how it would work. But if it works normally with no harm to Yumichika at all then he could probably beat every single Arrancar they've got because he can just keep taking their energy and use it to heal his wounds and keep fighting. (That's the big reason why I'm thinking it'll backfire on him.)

I have an urge to do IkkaYumi doodles now. not that I have academic to do of course!
