I just heard the stupidest thing of my life tonight... we were watching this documentary show on Loretta Lynn. (She's a very famous, very influential country music singer.) She did a CD with Jack White (is that his name?) from the The White Stripes that has gotten a lot of cricital praise and is selling very well, but her singles aren't getting played on the radio. Do you know why she's not played on the radio? Because they say she's too old. What the hell is that? How is that an excuse? I don't remember these stations calling themselves "Young Country" they call themselves "Today's Hit Country" which means the songs that are hits today. They won't play someone who actually sings and performs country music, but they'll that that damn "Ride a Cowboy" song 25 damn times a day!! What the hell is wrong with people these days?! If you're not 25 or over 40 and look 25 you can't have your song played on the radio?! Ugh. Stupidest thing I've ever heard. Anymore you can't even tell you're listening to a country music station anymore anway... Ugh.

I know most of you don't care about that... but I live in southern Oklahoma. You hear country everywhere you go. You may not like it or listen to it... but you don't complain about it.

I worked on my Orihime icons today for [livejournal.com profile] iconfiend100. I made three and one prettiful animation that was too big for LJ. *kicks file limit*
