Man I feel like crap. Allergies Messed up sleep cycle (thank you time change!) neighborhood dogs barking = not good.

I have the urge to read Yakitate!! Japan again. I was watching Good Eats and it was about bread... I blame that. *nods* Also all those new anime series that I posted about some time ago (too lazy to link to them) I think I found my favorite of new season. It's called Mushishi and it's so good. It seems like it's gonna be episodic and it is a bit slow moving and confusing, but I found both episodes that are out so far to be totally enjoyable. The art and animation and music are all really soothing even if it does have some creepy imagery. :) Plus Ginko, the main character, sorta reminds me of Sanji from One Piece... what with the whole hair covering the left eye and ciggy hanging out of the mouth thing.

Hmmm.... I'm thinking about skipping Bleach caps this week. Despite it's contents episode 56 was sorta boring. Plus my One Piece batch will be done by then. I've also got the urge to make some icons too.

P.S. Will do the next three ramble meme things later. :)

You found Ep 56 boring? Well... I found it boring until Ukitake and Shunsui actually brought out there zanpakutou and I found the Soi Fong/Youruichi fight so far very exciting.

There was just something about the whole episode which just seemed... off for me. (Other than Yumichika and his sparkling and dancing... that was great.) I didn't like that they used still frames for the releasing of Shunsui and Ukitake's swords (esp. after seeing how gorgeous their scene looks in the opening) and the Soi Fong/Yoruichi fight was really missing something for me.

The Soi Fong/Yoruichi fight was missing something for me too--I had such high hopes for it after reading the manga. But it seems like it was made to be a "poetic" fight--the animation was suggestive and lyrical and not like the guy fights at all. I suppose there was some emotional power with the dialogue I didn't get and may yet when I see the subs, and I hope that the stuff next week sizzles. My favorite scenes with Soi Fong (and others) are coming up.
