queendork56SO tired... I am NEVER watching a marathon ever again. I was this close to murdering G4TechTV... they take way too many commericals. I finally remembered why I always record Anime Unleashed instead of watching it while it's on. I did make it through the whole 12 hours though. And I love Last Exile! It was great. Mom even watched the whole thing with me (well she fell asleep during the last hour and a half... but she still watched most of it.) My thoughts and comments will be behind a cut to keep from spoiling. ^__^
First of all... it made me cry. Damn that's the 6th anime to make me cry. (Cowboy Bebop, Trigun (several times), Fullmetal Alchemist, Vandread, and Wolf's Rain all made me cry too.) Overall I loved the pacing of the story. It was very well done. The 3D elements blended very well with the 2D I thought. Favorite characters: Alvis, Lavie, Dio, Alex, and Mullin. At first I was a little freaked out by Dio, but in the end, I just felt sorry for him. I cried when Mullin died. It was so sad. He finally found a girl with Danya and all he wanted was to get his last survival medal so he could choose to stay on the Silvana. I was bawling. Poor Mullin. And then when Lucciola chose to help Claus and Lavie and save Dio. I cried when Lucciola told Delphine that he was Dio's friend. *sniffles* Poor Dio. He was turned into a zombie basically. He didn't even remember Immelman (Claus) until the very end. But he didn't remember that he made friends with the crew of the Silvana. I was bawling again when Dio got part of his memory back and thought he was back in the marathon race with Lucciola and when he said "if we're gonna go this slow Lucciola, you might as well jump out..." Poor Dio. He died thinking it was his fault that Lucciola died. And then when the Silvana shot down Delphine's ship. I was full out crying. Sophia was the one that gave the order to sink her ship but she didn't know that Alex was still alive. Poor Sophia. She really did love him. And I can't believe Weena lied and said that Alex's last word was "Sophia" when it was really "Euris" (Alex's lost love) but I guess it helped ease her mind some.
Anyway all in all Christmas was great. (I forgot to record Read or Die... but I'll grab it on Thursday) Oh, and mom's CSI game does work on our crappy computer! Wootness. We're having a Shrek double feature at my house today. ^__^ Hope everyone's Holidays were great!!
