Ah... fillers... love them or hate them... we're getting them. Me? I don't mind fillers. All I ask is that they entertain me until the source material is far enough ahead and the main story can resume. But I know that a lot of you don't care for fillers, but instead of dwelling on the weakness of the story or the fact that it probably won't be as good as the manga... let's look at the good things these fillers can give us.

This isn't another installment of Bleach caps... it only looks like Bleach caps!


Good Filler Thing #1: Crazy Daddy Moments

Good Filler Thing #2: Ichigo + Naked

Good Filler Thing #3: Funny Ichigo Faces (and let's face it... Ichigo makes some good ones.)

Yes, all is well at the Kurosaki house. Isshin is still crazy, Yuzu still doesn't want them to fight., and Karin is still hoping that her real family will show up and save from these crazy people.

Good Filler Thing #4: Keigo Being Keigo

School is back in session. Chad's there.

Orihime and Tatsuki are there.

Mizuiro is there.

Keigo is there.

Doing what he normally does...

Ochi-sensei is there. She doesn't have her new spiffy manga haircut, but she is laid back as usual.

Good Filler Thing #5: Ishida!!!!!

It seems that there is some strange street performer standing outside the school proclaiming his love for Ichigo calling for Ichigo at the top of his lungs.

Ichigo drags Renji into a secluded area...

And then gets a tiny bit overexcited. (Oh yeah... Good Filler Thing #6: Renji Running Free in the Human World)

It seems a Hollow has appeared outside the school. (Look! There's the back of Ishida's head! And the back of Chizuru's head!)

Renji is... er... um... stuck in his gigai... at least... I hope so. XD

Good Filler Thing #7: Tatsuki-chan!

We all need more Isshin in our lives.

Good Filler Thing #8: Renji and Jinta Interaction = Win! (It's like a mirror!)

Apparently Renji was the butt of a joke. Poor Renji...

Yoruichi was not amused.

Good Filler Thing #9: Urahara Fan Service

Yeah... we need more Urahara fan service...

Unofficial Good Filler Thing: New eyecatch!

Orihime is in an old warehouse training.

She wears herself out and Lily starts to comfort her, but Tsubaki stops her.

But Orihime isn't alone... Chad shows up and they chat for a bit.

Then Chad blows a hole in the wall and they both get the hell out of there before they're seen.

Ah, but they are seen... by Ishida.

I wonder if he was "shopping" again.

Meanwhile back at the Kurosaki place.. Kon looks like he went to hell and back.

And gives Ichigo an earful...

But Ichigo don't wanna hear it.

Meanwhile Orihime is having a dream about a cute little snow rabbit she made when she was a kid.

Awww... isn't she cute?

Sora (Orihime's hot brother) keeps the snow off her.

Orihime wakes up from her dream a bit upset. She goes to get a drink of water and remembers Rukia calling Byakuya after he was stabbed by Gin. Orihime starts crying, but she's interrupted by the doorbell.

When she gets to the door she finds Sora on the other side.

Good Filler Thing #10: Sleeping Renji.

Apparently Renji doesn't sleep in his gigai. (I wanna know who braided his hair!)

Renji's cellphone "Sumthin's Up" alarm goes off.

Urahara and Yoruichi watch him run out of the shop. Yoruichi decides to head out too.

Meanwhile Orihime and Sora having a chat over tea.

And all Ichigo wants to do is sleep... too bad someone is calling his name.

Ichigo wakes up this bright and shining face...

And promptly freaks out.

Ichigo and Renji get into a argument and wake up the King.

Renji's reaction is priceless.

Good Filler Thing #11: Renji Freaking Out

You'd think Kon was a demon or something...

And to be fair... he does sorta look like one.

Renji quickly recovers his composure...

And violates Kon... twice. (He also spins him around and spikes him into the ground. Poor Kon.)

Renji finally relays the news that something is going down and they realize that Orihime is in trouble. Ichigo and Renji head off to her place.

Back at Orihime's place... Sora has started acting strange.

And this weird little girl appears behind Orihime.

Now I know you may be thinking... "WTF?! This isn't important. This is a room." But this isn't just any room...

This is Ishida's room!! (Now your smutty Quincy fantasies can happen here! XP)

Ishida's Spidey-Sense kicks in.

As does Chad's. (This is all we get to see of Chad's room.)

Renji and Ichigo race to Orihime's place.

Where a creepy gate has appeared outside.

Sora asks Orihime to come with him and when she takes his hand the gate opens. (Sora is hot.)

Chad and Ishida arrive on the scene.

Orihime is pulled into the gate and it disappears leaving the four boys outside her apartment building while Ichigo calls for her.

Meanwhile the little girl from before lands on a nearby roof where two other people wait.


And now onto one of the weirdest things I have ever seen... the new ending!

Look! It's a dancing bird!

And a dancing... rabbit?

And a break dancing turtle.

Wait... has Rukia been taking animation lessons?

The bird, the rabbit, and the turtle decide to dance together.

But Kon is sad!

And on a really bad drug trip?

Or maybe I'm on the drug trip.

I can't decide if this bird is cute or scary...

Not only do they dance... they sing backup too!

Ichigo finally make an appearance... save us Ichigo! I'm scared!

Wait... you're not Ichigo! You look all old and junk! *runs away*

Kon demands that that Ichigo impostor get the hell out!

Filler character... she looks kinda mean. I'm gonna call her Bitchy till we find out her name.

Filler character... he looks kinda like a butler. I'm gonna call him Walter till we find out his name.

Filler character... he looks kinda evil, but he's got a tie! I'm gonna call him Mr. Evil until we find out his name.

Filler character... hey! It's that weird little girl. She doesn't look as weird now. I'm gonna call her Blondie till we find out her name.

Filler characters... That one has two different hair colors. And the hooded one is totally a dude. I'm gonna call the top hat guy Gellow and the hooded guy Redhot.

And now the turtle is posing.

And they complete their ritual dance.

Blondie helps us count!

More bird dancing.

Oh noes! I'm being won over by cuteness!

More rabbit dancing.

I bet that Blondie and Yachiru would be BFFs 4-EVAH!

That turtle is actually pretty kickass.

Kon dance!!!

Like I said... totally weird.


Next week! Ishida breaks out those sewing skills!

Ishida has a new sewing kit.

I wish I had Renji, Ichigo, and Ishida chasing me... :(

Tessai gives Yoruichi and Urahara an astronomy lesson.

And our five idiots sit around like bumps on a log.

But we love them anyway.


Meanwhile in the Shinigami Guide... Kon looks super fab.

But that's because Ishida fixed him and Ishida doesn't do shoddy work.

Kon clearly doesn't appreciate Ishida's talents.

Ichigo makes a life choice -- he needs new friends. Now.

Ishida tries it again.

Kon approves.

But Ishida gets the last laugh.

Ichigo gets to laugh too.


Granted I've only seen the raw... the filler arc isn't off to a bad start. It gave me some laughs even without knowing what's going on (Renji getting stuck in the gigai, Renji's reaction to whatever Jinta was telling him at dinner, Renji's reaction to Kon) and it's got me asking questions. (WTF is with that gate?) I really liked that they brought up Orihime's brother again. It's easy to forget that despite Orihime's cheerfulness, she's had it pretty rough.

And Ishida and Chad knew there was something wrong! In fact Chad sat up in bed and said "Inoue." Curse you filler and your planting of plot bunnies! *shakes fist*

That ending is just too bizarre. I was just like "OMGWTF?!" the entire time. I think that by looking at the ending... Bitchy, Walter, and Mr. Evil are well... the evil. And Blondie, Gellow, and Redhot aren't. We don't actually see Blondie do anything to Orihime. She's just standing beside her off to the side and after Orihime gets sucked into the gate she lands on the roof with Gellow and Redhot and giggles.

Anway... not a bad start.

EDIT: And for the love of... This is not gonna be a "Rescue Orihime" arc. So she got in trouble in 64? Big deal. She's in the preview with Ichigo and them so if she needs to be saved... they all need to be saved. Fucking Orihime haters...

I admit, this filler doesn't seem to be too bad so far. The animation, as of late, hasn't been great, but it's not horrificly terrible I suppose.

This episode was totally Renji/Ichigo. And I wonder if Renji stopped at the Urahara shop first... maybe those were Urahara's old clothes. (Those braids are really hot though.)

Ishida's room is really dull, but then again it's Ishida. I'd bet that he made the tablecloth and the blanket.
